The course covers circuit breaker and fuse construction, operating principles, and proper selection criteria, including voltage, current, and interrupting ratings. Students will master selective coordination concepts, short-circuit calculations using the point-to-point method, and systematic troubleshooting techniques. Special attention is given to GFCI and AFCI technologies, National Electrical Code® requirements, safety protocols, and the critical role these devices play in protecting electrical systems from damage while ensuring personnel safety.
