There are many hazards associated with paper making and converting facilities. Equipment and process hazards can be minimized by the use of safety guarding, personal protective equipment, safety training, and standardized procedures. Personal behaviors are also important because they play a major role in safety. This course details some common hazards and hazardous situations found in papermaking and converting facilities and describes methods for minimizing or avoiding these hazards.
•Describe the common dangers in a papermaking environment
•Describe injury preventative measures, including PPE, lockout/tagout, emergency stops, and good housekeeping
